My Must Have Pieces for Fall

Bring on the pumpkin spice please! Now that it is the end of September, it finally feels like fall! Fall is by far one of my favorite seasons. From cozy sweaters to chic booties, below are a few of my must haves for the season!

  1. Madewell Patch Pocket Pullover Sweater
  2. Madewell Starry Night Chenille Scarf
  3. Gorjana Laguna Adjustable Lariat Necklace
  4. Jo Malone London Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne
  5. Brixton Fiddler Cap
  6. Marc Fisher Yale Chelsea Boot
  7. Topshop Sallie Tortoiseshell Handle Tote
  8. Topshop Black Ripped Jamie Jeans

For fall, I always tend to lean towards copper and pumpkin colored sweaters. They pair well with the crisp weather and are extremely flattering on all skin tones. Another major staple in my closet for fall is black denim. I prefer if they are ripped because it adds an edgier feel, but the pair goes with nearly anything.

For accessories, I am absolutely obsessed with hats. The fiddler hat pairs perfect with every outfit for every occasion. But it wouldn’t be the season without comfy scarves and fun booties. I am in love with this star one from Madewell, which adds the perfect pop of color and pattern. I am also obsessed with these Marc Fisher booties. The pointed toe with a metal embellishment is a modern take on a classic style. This mustard color Topshop bag also caught my eye! It’s so chic, but has a unique twist with the turtle handle and side strap. Large totes are a must for the season to carry all of your necessities, and this one does the trick perfectly. Finish off any fall look with a long lariat necklace and a spritz of your favorite warm fragrance, and you are fall ready!

I hope these pieces inspire you to break out your fall wardrobe and enjoy a pumpkin spice latte!

Last Weekend In NYC

As I’ve gotten older, I love going on weekend getaways! Last weekend, I took a trip with my love to New York City! As usual, we saw plenty of sites, ate a lot of incredible food, and shopped (just a little)!

I had a list of things I was dying to do and see! Our first day, we arrived to extremely wet and windy weather. We pretty much just grabbed lunch and dinner and called it a day! If ever you are in the mood for some yummy deep dish pizza, Emmett’s is the place to go! Bill found it because he loves deep dish! The restaurant was small, cozy, and clearly a spot a lot of locals go to! It was a great way to begin the weekend!

On Saturday, the sun was shining, and I couldn’t have been happier! We walked over to Central Park where we had brunch at Tavern on the Green! The food was SO good, not to mention the restaurant was quaint and lovely. After, we enjoyed the Central Park Zoo, which is probably by far my favorite zoo! We continued to walk around the city some more, and of course, whenever I am there, I always need to stop in Topshop. But the highlight was definitely going to Magnolia Bakery by Rockefeller Center. I had been following them forever on Instagram and knew this was a stop that needed to happen. We tried their banana pudding, and it was life changing.

That night, we went to dinner with my uncle and walked around Times Square. This was definitely one of my favorite NYC trips! When we left, I immediately felt the need to go back. And trust me, I am already planning the next weekend there!

For those asking about my pink hat that I wore during the trip, it is from H&M. I’d been looking for that style for a while, but was not a fan of how most of them looked on me. Once I found this one, I knew it was meant to be. You can find a similar one here!

A Sunday Meant for the City

Happy Sunday! The weather was beautiful here! Although there was some debate on what to do on this gorgeous day, I finally decided that time in the city would be perfect for an easy afternoon walk!

I am wearing a navy blue kimono with white daisy print. I paired it with a cropped, white eyelet shirt, also with a daisy pattern. For shorts, I threw on a pair of light wash denim with rips on the front. Sandals were simple flats with a little brown strap! The waves in my hair were from yesterday, (they stayed perfectly in place) and I wore a tinted moisturizer for SPF coverage!

Simple but easy style is what I look for nowadays with the sun blazing! The kimono added a cool, hipster touch to what could have been just a bland outfit! They are a great way to take shorts and tee to a whole other level!

Stay cool on these warm summer days, but always remember to enjoy your style too!
