I’m wishing this weather was on Christmas, but the snow is finally falling, and it’s time to pull out my favorite hat and gloves for the occasion. I am so extremely picky with hats. If they don’t fit comfortably, make my head look odd, or are itchy, I will refuse to wear them. But this year, I have finally found a hat that works for me.
To say that I am obsessed with this hat is an understatement! It’s everything: warm, soft, and oh so cute. Paired with any sweater and scarf, and of course a warm jacket, the look is complete! Also, these boots are so crucial for wet snow! Your feet stay warm, and they look perfect with a simple pair of black leggings!
The holidays are almost here! Whether it’s a gift or for yourself, holiday pajamas are key for this season! Finding the perfect set can be hard, but I’ve found that Nordstrom has the best selection of pj’s for your holiday and Christmas morning!
When the weekend hit with a 29 degree temperature and a wind that was cold enough to cut through your skin, I knew it was about time to break out my trusty turtleneck collection. But on a day spent holiday shopping and bracing the cold, I knew I also needed a trusty pair of leggings to ease my flexibility.
My turtleneck is from Primark, which for all my fellow Massachusetts folks, are located in Boston and the Burlington Mall. My leggings are a worn black pair of moto leggings from Nordstrom with ribbed detail-in the thigh and calf. Shoes are from Steve Madden and are my favorite (and the comfiest).
On a day like today, this was a perfect outfit. It was easy and a great way to layer a scarf, heavy jacket, even another sweater, while trying to welcome the cold with open arms!
These are just a few of some of the top items to purchase for “her” or yourself this season! All products are listed above. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday, sales may even be applicable on these items, and I will update, as they roll in!
Shop smart this season, with items that are luxury, great quality, and a great deal! Have a Happy Thanksgiving and happy shopping!
The other day, I turned the big 21! The day was filled with plenty of love, yummy food, sweets, and great celebration! If you follow me on Instagram (courtneyk1) you would have seen snippets of the day! But I wanted to share it all (or most of it) including my hair, makeup, outfit, and a few pics of the night!
My romper was from Nordstrom (unfortunately out of stock) is by Astr (similar). It is a gorgeous emerald green with V neck and back. My bralette is from H&M and the shoes are just a simple gladiator flat.
Makeup was done by myself! My hair was done courtesy of Luxebar! If you are looking for a great blow dry bar, I definitely recommend it!
I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes and a fabulous birthday! Until next year!
The #NSale is back and better than ever! It’s the time of year where lovers of fashion and all things Nordstrom can get a peek into fall’s must haves and purchase it at some of the best prices around. Brands like Tory Burch, Sam Edelman, Touche, Astr, BP and more are on sale for great amazing prices.
The sale opened to the public Friday July 22nd, and I ran to my closest Nordstrom at 10 am to get everything that I was eyeing and more. I purchased quite a few fall staples that I will definitely be sporting on the cooler days of fall and winter. All products are listed with links to the website. The only thing not on sale I purchased was the Articles of Society denim. But for $64, I thought these were a steal considering other denim in the store were over $100 on sale. I’m also picky with jeans, so when I tried these on and fell in love, I knew I needed to grab them!
The sale ends August 8th. Prices will go back up to their normal retail range and will stay until they go on sale. Don’t wait until then! Go online today or in store and check out the pieces a part of the #NSale!
I have also been informed that some pieces that have sold out in the sale have been restocked, so definitely stay tuned and keep checking in.
I have recently been obsessed with the look of tight dresses and a curvy body. I’m not talking about the tacky bandage dresses that are short and show too much. I am talking about the sleek, midi-dress style bodycons that have been hitting Instagram and Twitter with a beat face and sexy shoes.
Being on the curvier side myself, nothing is hotter than showing off your butt and hips in a curve hugging (and covering) dress. It’s classy, yet shows just enough that it leaves a little to the imagination. They come in a number of sleeve options and can be bought with a plunging neckline or one that’s a bit more conservative.
I have recently been obsessed with the selection of these dresses in Nordstrom. With their recent anniversary sale, I am sure the selection for fall colors and styles are in abundance and at amazing prices. The two I have in stock in my closet are black and olive green. They are very plain but have little detail here and there such as cinching at the hip or a defined waist line. I like how they are muted neutrals that can be transitioned to any season. I also recommend owning gray, a light blush pink, and even a nude or tan tone. That way they are versatile for every season, and you can change it up by adding a sleeveless trench vest, leather jacket, or even short boots.
It’s officially fall! You know what that means… Cool weather, crisp leaves, warm sweaters and apple picking! It’s probably one of my favorite activities to do in the early fall season. It’s not too hot, and it’s not too cold; it is just right! So, what does one wear to this festive event? I have the perfect outfit just for you!
I decided to wear a cotton, jersey dress and a long cardigan. When it got too warm, I could simply tie the sweater around my waist, and I still had a really cute, versatile, and on trend look. I wore a long key necklace to accessorize and some flat sandals. Nothing too fancy!
I adore this trend and style for fall. The wrap around sweater adds a practical and cool feel to a simple dress. You can change it up and even add a flannel. This creates a whole new look for another day!
My dress is from Francesca’s (Similar), Sweater is from Nordstrom (Similar), Necklace is from a small boutique, and Shoes are Aldo.
Most of the items may be out of stock, but I listed similar pieces that would work too!
With all of these gloomy days, I have spent my time stuck inside trying to find something to do. My main task: organizing my clothes and shoes. But just because I was stuck inside does not mean that I don’t have my style game going!
On these rainy days, I usually like to bundle up and keep extra cozy. I am wearing a long sweater length dress with faux leather detailing. I paired a cranberry pair of cotton leggings, changing up the look, as well as added a black and white checkered scarf. Rain boots were a must, especially with my black Hunters. Accessories were kept limited with only a bracelet and studs.
A black sweater is a necessary staple piece, especially for this fall. This shirt is so comfy, but still has that “put together” look. The leggings add a nice untraditional flare, since all black would have just been boring. I also recommend investing in a pair of wellies! Whether they are Hunters or another brand, in this weather they are a must to keeping your feet dry!
On these rainy days, do not forget to dress fabulous, while still feeling comfortable!
