Why I’m Obsessed With Hailee Steinfeld’s Oscar Look

If you didn’t watch the Oscars Sunday night, then I assume you heard about the drama and mishaps the day after. While everyone was chatting about Moonlight winning instead of La La Land, I was too busy obsessing over what Hailee Steinfeld wore on the red carpet.

When I first saw her on the TV screen, my jaw dropped. I have never seen anything more impeccable in my life. The hair, makeup, and dress flowed perfectly together. The ruffles up the back added detail and accented the floral appliqués on the gown. She wore Ralph & Russo, which was her best pick yet!

I had not been a huge fan of her lavender number at the Golden Globes, or in fact any of her picks recently on the red carpet. I felt they aged her, but she quickly got her style game back and posed on the red carpet looking elegant and sexy.

This was her first time back on the red carpet, since being nominated for True Grit a few years ago, and boy, did she go out with a bang. Hailee Steinfeld makes my heart melt in this number, and I am forever obsessed with her style.

Interview Ready!

It has been too long since I have done a traditional post, but I am here with a new one! I have recently been offered some amazing opportunities to meet some of my idols in the journalism field. I was recently able to interview the beautiful Bianca De La Garza for WEBN, a news organization I work for! This was a fun interview where we discussed her career as a journalist, but also her new talk show Bianca Unanchored! This interview was so important to me, that I knew I had to dress to impress.

I wore a floral pencil skirt, with a lace hem. I paired it with a cream blouse, navy blazer, and my Sam Edelman flats. Makeup was full glam of course because I was on camera!

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Bianca! She is the sweetest and very talented! This outfit was perfect for an interview on camera, but could also work for a job interview as well. It is classy, but adds that style factor that will make you stand out!

I’ll post the interview once it is edited and up! Make sure to watch her show Bianca Unanchored Saturdays at 11:35 pm on WCVB, channel 5 ABC.

Summer Sweetness

Flowers, flowers everywhere! Show off your girly side with adorable florals this season! Mix and match or make it the main eye catching piece, but beautiful, girly florals can make you look sweet this summer!

I paired a floral short skirt with my favorite cropped eyelet blouse! The top is short enough to get away with the bagginess of the style with the skirt! Sandals are regular plain flats (the ones I am constantly wearing in all of my posts!) Hair was actually an accident! I was going to wear a ponytail,  but found it looked much more soft and easy down! Makeup details will be coming soon… 😉

Skirt and top combos like these are my favorite! You do not feel restricted because it is not tight! Everything is loose fitting, but does not make your shape look larger than it really is! It’s easy and a cute way to feel girly and fabulous!

Enjoy these summer months and definitely show off your feminine side!

You should always put your best foot forward when hosting a party! Never slack on the details, but always enjoy the moment! Yesterday, I was so lucky to enjoy a room filled with wonderful people! I, of course, did not forget to bring my style game.

I was wearing a floral print dress with solid white torso and open back! The colors popped on this lovely summer afternoon. And on the plus side, matched my nails! I wore a pair of sparkly, round stud earrings and a matching Tory Burch bracelet! My hair was curled in waves and makeup was bold with pops of copper and magenta!

This dress was perfect for the occasion! Wear it to a party, dinner, or out with the girls! Floral prints are a must for summer and will spice up any closet!

I know this post was short, but I hope it was sweet! Enjoy the people in your life, celebrate any moment you can, and always feel fabulous! Thanks again for the wonderful support!

Pinks and Floral

You can never wear too much pink and floral, right? Of course not! My two favorite things were a necessity while trying to get ready on this very gray morning! I am tired of this dreary weather and wanted to wear something that brightened my mood and matched!

I decided to pull some light pink/ peach ripped shorts out of my closet and paired it with a floral sleeveless button down! I wanted to feel “matchy” today and like the sun was shining! (Even though it was not.) The style was simple and easy for a day of errands. I threw over a jean jacket when I needed it and just added a pair of simple sandals! I didn’t do much with my hair except keep it straight, so I could easily pull it out of my face when needed!

These shorts are very on trend and can be paired with nearly any shirt in your closet! Below are the store links and similar pieces! Enjoy my loves!
